LightWater Sanctuary is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your personal and health information.

As a Registered Massage Therapist regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), I collect, use, and store personal health information in accordance with the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004 (PHIPA) and professional regulatory standards.

• Assessment findings and treatment notes
   
• Payment information (processed through secure third-party providers)
   

Only information necessary for providing care is collected.

Your information is collected for the purpose of:

• Assessing your condition and providing appropriate treatment
   
• Maintaining clinical records as required by CMTO
   
• Communicating with you about appointments or care
   
• Processing payment for services
   
• Complying with legal and regulatory requirements
   

Your consent is obtained before collecting, using, or disclosing your personal health information, except where required or permitted by law.

Consent may be written, verbal, or implied through the provision of information for treatment.

You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal limitations.

• PHIPA-compliant electronic record-keeping systems (JaneApp)
   
• Password-protected and encrypted devices
   
• Secure email communication where appropriate
   
• Locked physical storage (if paper records are used)
   

Reasonable safeguards are in place to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.

Clinical records are retained for the minimum period required by CMTO regulations (at least 10 years from the date of last treatment, or longer in the case of minors).

Your personal health information will not be shared without your consent except:

• When required by law (e.g., court order or subpoena)
   
• If there is risk of serious harm to yourself or others
   
• For regulatory review by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
   
• For insurance purposes, with your authorization
   

Only the minimum necessary information will be disclosed.

Online booking is provided through JaneApp, a secure and PHIPA-compliant platform.

The LightWater Sanctuary website may collect limited personal information through contact forms or email correspondence for the purpose of responding to inquiries or scheduling appointments.

The website may use basic cookies or analytics tools to understand website traffic. No personal health information is collected through cookies.

You have the right to:

• Request access to your personal health information
   
• Request corrections to inaccurate information
   
• Receive a copy of your records (subject to applicable administrative fees)
